GILBERT IS RUGBY: AINE'S STORY

When she's not lecturing Economics at Ulster University, Áine is deeply involved in her rugby community. As a coach for the women's team and the minis section at Randallstown Rugby Club, she brings her expertise and passion to every age group. In addition, Áine serves as the Chair of Communications, regularly attending board meetings to help shape the club’s future. Her commitment doesn’t stop there—she also sits on the Ulster Rugby Board, playing a key role in shaping the sport at a provincial level.

Áine’s story is one of dedication, resilience, and a deep-rooted connection to her club. Despite leading an incredibly busy life, she balances her professional career with her passion for rugby, attributing her ability to juggle multiple roles to her unwavering love for the game and her community. From shaping young athletes to steering the club’s communication strategies, Áine’s long-standing relationship with Randalstown Rugby Club is a testament to the positive impact one person can make both on and off the field.
